I would like to share my endorsement for the United for Wissahickon school board candidates.

Amy, as current school board president, has an extremely proven track record. She has improved communication with the community, as well as establishing multiple board committees to improve student and teacher satisfaction. Her experience is quite invaluable.

Deanne another current school board member, is committed to keeping our kids healthy and safe. She also is a liaison with the Pennsylvania School Board Association PSBA. This position is important to have Wissahickon maintain a face with the organization. She also chairs the employee relations committee focusing on supporting teachers. Deanne is also a swim coach as well as an accomplished swimmer herself.

Gene has been a board member since 2023 He has a strong background in education and a passion for community service. In addition to his work as an educator, Gene has also been a mentor in his church. He currently chairs the board’s health, wellness and safety committee and represents the board on the district committee. He also sits on the racial equity oversite committee.

Noel and Dan will bring fresh perspectives to the board.

Noel with a background in bioethics, business and academia provides him with an opportunity to weigh in on discussions that are varied as well as important for the students and teachers of our district. Noel is also a cancer survivor, which brings an empathetic and compassionate insight.

Dan, with a degree in Spanish education, serves on the Montco Regional Advisory Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters. He is also a coach and mentor. These attributes provide a strong foundation for tending to the needs of Wissahickon students.

I wholeheartedly endorse the United for Wissahickon team of school board candidates. This team of dedicated individuals brings a diverse set of skills and experiences that are crucial for addressing the challenges our schools face today and are ready to implement solutions that prioritize the needs of our students teachers and families.
