Amy resides in Lower Gwynedd with her husband, Jake, their three children, and a lively household that includes two cats and two dogs. Her son, Asher, is an 8th grader and her daughter, Leah, is a 6th grader at Wissahickon Middle School, while her youngest daughter, Giselle, is in 2nd grade at Stony Creek Elementary. Deeply connected to the community, Amy treasures the balance of family life, local engagement, and the joyful energy that comes with raising children and caring for pets. Her family’s love and support inspire her every day, fueling her dedication to making a positive impact.
Amy is a proud graduate of Drexel University and Widener University School of Law. As a local business owner and nationally recognized consumer rights attorney, she brings nearly twenty years of litigation experience to her practice, Ginsburg Law Group, PC, located in Blue Bell. Beyond her legal work, Amy is deeply committed to her community, regularly sponsoring events at local schools and supporting initiatives that benefit students and families. Her dedication to both her profession and her neighbors reflects her belief in using her skills and resources to create a positive, lasting impact.
Amy has devoted many years to volunteering at Stony Creek Elementary (SCE), leaving a lasting and positive mark on the school community. Her involvement spans a variety of roles—from assisting with lunch and recess duties to engaging directly with students by reading in classrooms and supporting the Kid Writing initiative. As a dedicated room parent, she has organized creative and engaging events that strengthen connections among families and cultivate a warm, welcoming environment for all. Beyond the classroom, Amy has enthusiastically accompanied students on field trips at both SCE and Wissahickon Middle School, enriching their learning beyond the school walls. She also co-leads the Community Kids Club, a free program that inspires students to take part in meaningful community service projects. Through her dedication, energy, and compassion, Amy continues to foster a strong sense of community and support the growth and development of Wiss students.
Amy was first elected to the Wissahickon School Board in 2019 for a two-year term and re-elected in 2021 for a four-year term. In December 2021, she was chosen by her fellow Board members to serve as President—a role she has been re-elected to in 2022, 2023, and 2024. She is currently serving her fourth term as President.
Throughout her tenure, Amy has contributed her leadership and insight to multiple committees, including the Policy Committee, Labor Negotiations Committee, Employee Relations Committee, Facilities and Transportation Committee, and the District’s Wellness Committee. She has also represented Wissahickon on the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) Board of Directors and served on its legislative committee.
As President, Amy has made it a priority to strengthen communication between the District and the community. Under her leadership, the District launched a new website, transitioned to BoardDocs, and introduced “Coffee with the Board” meet-and-greet sessions. She also initiated efforts to inform the community about the role and responsibilities of the school board.
To address staff concerns, Amy established the Employee Relations Committee—chaired by fellow candidate Deanne Morris—providing teachers and staff a direct channel to meet with Board members. Recognizing the growing importance of mental health, behavior, and safety, she also created the Health, Wellness, and Safety Committee, chaired by fellow candidate Gene Golson. In addition, Amy regularly visits school buildings to connect with staff and students and has hosted student listening sessions to ensure their voices are heard.
Her commitment to student well-being extends to improving access to healthier meal options in school cafeterias, with the belief that good nutrition supports learning, attendance, mood, and academic success. She has also championed sustainability efforts, including the introduction of a “share tray” program that allows students to offer unopened fruits and vegetables to their peers, reducing waste while fostering community.
