Amy resides in Lower Gwynedd, along with her husband, Jake, their three children, and the family’s two cats and two dogs. Amy’s son Asher is a 7th grader at Wissahickon Middle School, and her two daughters, Leah and Giselle, are in 5th and 1st grade at Stony Creek Elementary.
Amy is a graduate of Drexel University and Widener University School of Law. She is a local business owner and a nationally recognized consumer rights attorney with nearly twenty years of litigation experience. Her practice, Ginsburg Law Group, PC, is located in Blue Bell. Amy regularly sponsors events at local schools.
Amy has dedicated several years to volunteering at Stony Creek Elementary (SCE), making a significant impact on the school community. Her contributions range from assisting with lunch and recess duties to actively engaging with students by reading with them in their classrooms and supporting the Kid Writing initiative. As an attentive room parent, she has organized engaging events that foster connections among families and create a welcoming atmosphere for all. Beyond the classroom, Amy has eagerly joined students on field trips at both SCE and the Middle School, enriching students’ educational experiences. She also co-leads the Community Kids Club—a free program that empowers students to participate in meaningful community service. Amy’s commitment to fostering a sense of community and supporting youth development truly makes her an invaluable asset to the Wiss community.
Amy was elected to the Wissahickon School Board in 2019 for a two-year term and was re-elected in 2021 for a four-year term. She was chosen as President of the Board in December 2021 and was re-elected as President by her fellow Board members in 2022, 2023, and 2024. She is currently serving her fourth term as President.
During her time on the Board, Amy has served on several committees, including the Policy Committee, Labor Negotiations Committee, Employee Relations Committee, Facilities and Transportation Committee, and the District's Wellness Committee. Additionally, she has represented Wissahickon on the Board of Directors for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) and has served as the District’s representative on the MCIU legislative committee.
As President, Amy has prioritized enhancing communication between the District and the community. During her tenure, the District launched a new website, transitioned to BoardDocs, and organized regular meet-and-greet sessions for the Board, known as "Coffee with the Board." Information has also been shared with the community about the role and importance of the school board—click the link below for more details. To address staff concerns, she established the Employee Relations Committee, which provides teachers and staff with opportunities to meet with Board members. This committee is chaired by fellow candidate Deanne Morris. Given the rise in mental health issues, as well as concerns related to behavior and safety, Amy also formed the Health, Wellness, and Safety Committee, chaired by fellow candidate Gene Golson. In her capacity as President, Amy regularly visits our school buildings to engage with both staff and students. She also has hosted a number of student listening sessions for students to voice concerns to the School Board.
Amy is dedicated to promoting the health and wellness of our students by seeking out healthier meal options. She firmly believes that greater access to nutritious food can enhance cognitive function, reduce absenteeism, improve mood, and boost academic performance. Additionally, she has explored ways to minimize waste in our cafeterias, such as introducing a "share tray" that allows students to share unopened fruits and vegetables with their peers.
